Redskins place Su'a Cravens on non-football exempt list

This will give Washington an exemption for Cravens on its 53-man roster. It also means the starting strong safety will miss at least the first month of the regular season.
Cravens had apparently told some teammates on Saturday that he planned on retiring before the Redskins’ brass talked him out of that decision.
A second-round pick from USC in the 2016 NFL Draft, Cravens dealt with torn biceps and a concussion last season. He then had to undergo knee surgery back in August.
It will definitely be interesting to see what comes of this. If the ultra-talented Cravens does indeed retire, it would be a major blow for the Redskins.
